yes, it was still at 5.27.5, but i just updated to 5.27.7 and everything looks
much better. looks like its a really recent fix, though this bug was around for
years, since at least 5.20 i guess.
still blurred elements change their appearance slightly when zoomed in, and the
panel stops being transparent, but widgets and hints look good enough and i
hope that panels are fixed in 27.8 which i couldn't update to, so yes, thanks
to whoever did this
