I can reproduce this, both on 5.1.5 and after 5.2 rc2 (git 05601432).
Even on the small font sizes the text is phohibitively large (thousands of
pixels), not drawn inside the box i select with the text tool, and will hang
krita when I attempt to transform it beyond moving it around.
As this is not that widely reported, maybe it depends on system configuration?
I'm also on Windows 10.
Could other Windows users confirm if they are affected or not?
