For me, this happens when I maximize or move different windows on screen, and
increases if I play a video on Firefox at the same time, and also when I switch
from an app to another via Task Manager.
My journald is completely spammed by an infinite repeated message saying
"kwin_screencast: Dropping a screencast frame because the compositor is slow".
