Craig <craigfryer...@gmail.com> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |craigfryer...@gmail.com --- Comment #3 from Craig <craigfryer...@gmail.com> --- (In reply to Maik Qualmann from comment #1) > No, a date is not a parameter for facial recognition. What if old children's > photos are scanned? Then we have a current date with an old photo. > > Maik Not Before / Not After Date I think a simplified method could be used to dramatically reduce the rate of false recognition of faces is to filter the suggestions by the date the photo was taken. A face would not be recognised if the photo was taken before or after a set of dates entered into the faces profile. This would avoid faces being suggested for a person that is no longer alive or before they were born. The filter dates need not be the date of birth or death as it could simply be the date before or after which that face would not appear in the pool of faces. I agree that breaking up the training data by age category sounds helpful, but other than when a person is a young baby this shouldn't help the AI as the basic parameters of a face remain fairly similar throughout life. I understand the issue with photos that have been scanned at a later date, however scanned images should have their date taken changed to the date when the original photo was taken. The information on when the photo was scanned can be tagged or putting into the Meta data in some other way. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
