Bug ID: 470516 Summary: When having many crashes at once makes, displaying one icon per crash in the panel is not practical Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.5 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: pos...@posteo.eu CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 159390 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=159390&action=edit Screenshot SUMMARY Sometimes things crash and sometimes several things crash more or less at once. It happened so recently for me when Dolphin's tag reader stumbled over several files, yielding roughly 30 crash icons in the panel. Please see the screenshot. This is rather unpractical and pollutes the panel for no reason. IMO it were more useful to have only a single indicator with a subscript number of how many crashed happened. In order to yet deal with the issues, the indicator could become a plasmoid, which when opening it, lists a summary of what crashed. Though I am not sure if this isn't already covered within the notification applet. Nonetheless, I don't find the current solution optimal for the reasons given above.
