            Bug ID: 469550
Summary: [Regression o] Discover Cannot Be Removed From
                    Favorite
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Discover
           Version: 5.27.4
          Platform: Archlinux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: discover
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: kdelo...@mozej.com
                CC: aleix...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
Removing Discover from favorites does nothing. It comes back after plasma/kde
restart. I just removed it twice. Repeatable.

This is regression as this bug was supposedly already fixed:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=385814
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422881
The bug is back with a vengeance.

P.S. Discover (packagekit) will break Debian 11 if there is a security update
for grub. It broke systems of other people (black screen of death i.e. no
boot), that's why I remove it from menu. The proper way to update Debian is the
following:
$ sudo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade --with-new-pkgs -y The system would
ask to reconfigure grub and when to put stuff (you navigate via keyboard
arrows, tabs, space and enter,....).
If you use Discover/packagekit KDE WILL BREAK PEOPLES SYSTEMS. Your fault! This
is why this bug is very serious. Discover IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH DEBIAN! IT
BREAKS PEOPLES SYSTEMS. So there is also this question: Did you fix Discover to
be compatible with Debian updates and not to black screen of death peoples
systems?
***

Expected:
1. Don't force people to use Discover (vide PS)
2. Allow poeple to use native package manager (Discover breaks Debian)
3. Don't force Discover on favorites, even if the user removes it from
favorites
