I noticed one of my custom shortcuts was triggering it every time, but on investigation it is not the shortcut but this command in the invoked script that actually causes it: xdotool key --clearmodifiers "shift+Left" I wonder if anyone can now deduce what is the common factor between the two triggering scenarios: 1.
