Bug ID: 468119 Summary: Initiating pairing from Android phone to Windows 7 PC causes snoretoast.exe error. Classification: Applications Product: kdeconnect Version: 22.12.3 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: windows-application Assignee: piyushaggarwal...@gmail.com Reporter: mcgrath.jus...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start KDE connect on Android phone and Windows 7 PC. 2. From the Android phone, select the computer in "Available devices". Then select "Request pairing". 3. Immediately on the computer a system error window will pop up. OBSERVED RESULT The window title is "snoretoast.exe - System Error", and the text is "The program can't start because api-ms-win-core-winrt-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." EXPECTED RESULT I've never gotten it to work, so I'm not exactly sure, but I expect something like a dialog on the PC asking if I want to pair devices. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 7 professional, 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601 Android 11. KDE Connect on the phone is version 1.23.2. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I think the missing file is part of the Microsoft C++ redistributable 2015 version, which I have installed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
