Bug ID: 468056 Summary: If the project aspect ratio isn't the clip aspect ratio, the preview monitor is wrong Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 22.12.3 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: e...@horse64.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make a new project with a different project aspect ratio and(!) different overall size (may not be needed but was the case for me) than the clip you'll import 2. Import a clip, click cancel on adjusting the settings 3. Drag clip down into the timeline area where the clips go (sorry I don't know the name) 4. Jump to any point and press play on the Project Monitor OBSERVED RESULT Project Monitor matches render result EXPECTED RESULT Project Monitor is very wrong on both padding and scaling of how it will look like after export, essentially making it impossible to crop or scale the clip correctly SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 37, kdenlive 22.12.3 (available in About System) -> There is no "About System", there's only "About kdenlive" or "About KDE" KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION kdenlive installed from FlatHub, not via Fedora packages -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
