Since design is visual I added an attachment.

Here's some elaboration on the "fewer icons" part.

With the fewer icons I know instantly where things are. I think it's easier for
me to orient myself faster because these fewer icons act as landmarks on a map,
having few landmarks makes them standout and helps you know where things are in
relation to them.

I consider it an accessibility feature.

This was posted on Reddit to see reactions, I think people liked the changes,
however many didn't agree with having fewer icons. A user named SaltyBalty98
provided their take ( https://i.imgur.com/Daed1Dq.png ) which included 3
presets, first has all the icons, second has some icons, 3rd has no icons. I
think having this as an option is ideal.
