            Bug ID: 466499
Summary: Opacity of desktop wallpaper can be changed with
hotkey -> desktop fades to black
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.27.1
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: compositing
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: bastimeyer...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
After upgrading to 5.27, I noticed that while no window is in focus and
pressing the decrease opacity hotkey (bound to Meta+Num+-), the desktop's
wallpaper started fading to black due to kwin incorrectly treating the desktop
wallpaper as a window surface from what it looks like.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set up hotkey for decreasing the window opacity
2. Go on the desktop and don't have any windows opened or focused
3. Press the hotkey

OBSERVED RESULT
Notice the desktop wallpaper fading to black while its opacity gets decreased

EXPECTED RESULT
The desktop surface and its wallpaper should not be affected by the opacity
hotkeys
