Potential workaround. Edit
`{~/.local,/usr}/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.activeWindowControl/contents/ui/AppMenu.qml`
with the following change:
- import org.kde.private.activeWindowControl 1.0 as
ActiveWindowControlPrivate;\
+ import org.kde.plasma.private.appmenu 1.0 as
ActiveWindowControlPrivate;\
