Reopening as there's no answer from Nvidia. Tried 525.85.05 and my desktop is
still broken.
Surprisingly wayland session of plasma doesn't slow down to a crawl if screen
is closed and I consider it unaffected.
However it seems that my external screen runs at 60 Hz even though control
panel says it's running at 165 Hz, so that's a no go for me.
Not sure if it belongs to kwin, as even with compositing disabled on xorg
animations from inside windows lag.
