That's why I created a version with Qt 6. Thanks for reporting the bug with the crash when adding a new item, I did not know this, probably I should start using a Qt 6 version for my daily work. I have now fixed it, you can get https://sourceforge.net/projects/kid3/files/kid3/development/kid3-git20230204-Darwin-Qt6-Mojave.dmg.
