Bug ID: 464614 Summary: Kmail cannot delete mails in inbox any more given the deleted mails folder contains more than a certain amount of emails Classification: Applications Product: kmail2 Version: 5.19.3 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: commands and actions Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: dieter.jurzi...@t-online.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Mails cannot be deleted any more in case the deleted email folder contains more than about 100 mails / 1 MByte of data NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports I am using the following configuration: - my mailbox is in "maildir" format (what used to work for quite a while ... - when deleting emails those deleted mails do not end in one of the folders in my mailbox (why?) but are "somewhere" I do not know anything about. I as well cannot make this deleted mail folder a "regular" directory in maildir format. - when the deleted emails "folder" (I do not think it is a real folder, unfortunately) exceeds a certain size you cannot delete any emails any more. One presses "delete" but the emails simply change color but stay in the inbox. Normal activity with kmail becomes impossible. This bug is now quite old - I had had hoped it to vanish when switching to the latest openSUSE version, but in vain. Let me know if you need additional information. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. 2. 3.
