Thanks for the reply! I actually only installed qt5ct to test the workaround
proposed here:

So the issue initially occured when qt5ct wasn't installed. To test the
workaround I did have both installed, but qt5ct only active for monero-gui
using the QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct environment variable. I didn't change any
system-wide, user-wide or plasma-wide configuration.
I currently don't have qt5ct installed anymore and the issue still occurs.
