I've been getting this behavior too about once per day since I upgraded
Frameworks to 5.99 last week. It occurs when I open up the Alt-Tab switcher or
KRunner. Every time this happens, I couldn't find any mention of KWin in the
journal logs and Plasmashell remains responsive. I was able to kill and restart
KWin on Yakuake after turning off compositing with a keyboard shortcut.
