Bug ID: 460002 Summary: Confusing line formatting in Powersaving settings Classification: Applications Product: systemsettings Version: 5.25.5 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: kcm_powerdevil Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: m.w.b...@gmx.de CC: k...@privat.broulik.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 152591 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=152591&action=edit Current state top, Suggestion bottom SUMMARY *** Hi, something has been bugging me for a while. Two line formattings in the powersaving settings are confusing IMO: In the options for handling powerbutton events, the current formatting suggests that the checkbox for external monitors is independent of the lid-closing option above. But that's not the case; it is supposed to be a sub-setting. An indent would seem useful. The contrary is the case one option further: Event handling for pressing the power button DOES have an indent, but it shouldn't, as it is an independent setting! See attached screenshot. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Settings 2. Check Powersaving options 3. Check Formatting OBSERVED RESULT Formatting gives the wrong idea of setting dependencies EXPECTED RESULT Formatting should be corrected IMO. If my understanding of the settings is wrong, please feel free to correct me :) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Kernel 5.15.65, Manjaro KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.97.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION German Language Settings. Not sure if it's a language issue or general formatting issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
