            Bug ID: 459434
Summary: After editing a jpg in the image editor, I export it,
using the same name and location. That works for 3-5
times, then the edited image is not saved.
Alternative: The image is saved, but I cannot open the
next file for editing. It reopens the former file.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a jpg file and edit it.
2. Save it
3. Try to open the next file for editing

OBSERVED RESULT
After 3-5 edited files, the changed file is not saved . Or, if it is saved , I
cannot open the next file for editing. Instead, the last edited file is opened
in the editor.
When I close Digikam, I see in the system monitor that t the process is still
running and I have to sclose it manually. After that I can restart Digikam and
edit the next 3-5 pictures.
Not a goof workflow...

EXPECTED RESULT
Continue editing the files I have in that folder without having to go through
the closing and stopping, or even repeating the editing process

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux Mint v. 20.3
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version: ?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have tried two different data base versions, does not change anything.
