Because it's a hard bug to reproduce. Try as I might, I can't seem to get it on
my system. The last one (resolution change) I could at least reproduce, so that
was feasible to fix.
Still, thanks very much for the findings, Ric Grant — maybe I can try some
fixes using all these clues, but it'll just be flying blind since again I can't
reproduce it at all here.
