In the process of troubleshooting this issue, I think I may have determined something crucial. If the desktop environment has the iGPU set as the primary display adapter, the issue occurs (even if the games are set & running on the dGPU). However, if the dGPU is set as the primary display adapter then this issue does not occur at all. Gary (and whomever else wishes to try), could you test this by making a script file (i.e amdtest.sh) in /etc/profile.d with the following in the script? export KWIN_DRM_DEVICES=/dev/dri/card1:/dev/dri/card0 If you open System Settings -> About this system, by default, the Graphics Processor should be listed as 'RENOIR'.
