I also would like to contribute to this problem.
I use KDE with 4k monitor, and since upgrade, icons have become too small.
Before, when I adjusted panel size, icons would decrease/increase accordingly,
scaling smoothly, perfectly for my needs. Now, icons are fixed in size, and too
small for me.
I use 4K monitor, vertical panel of 256 size, with Task Manager. Icons are too
small.

Can you please restore smooth icon sizing functionality, or introduce setting
in Task Manager so I can set icon size?
