When I try to fetch mails from my GMail account I get the error message "Unable
to login to the server \"pop.gmail.com\".\nCould not login to pop.gmail.com.
The password may be wrong.\n\nCould not send to server.\n".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make a GMail account and activate POP3 in the account settings.
2. Add the respective POP account in KMail:
- Incomming mail server: pop.gmail.com
- Username: <yo...@gmail.com>
- Password: <GMail passord>
- SSL/TLS Port 995 with Authentication "Clear Text"
3. Fetch your E-Mail with this account in KMail.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This error persists for several months now and was present in earlier
versions of KMail, too (not sure which one).
- I tried every authentication method and also TLS without success.
- It looks like pop.gmail.com doesn't recognize my password anymore. My
password is a combination of uppercase, lowercase letters, digits and special
characters like *.
