Bug ID: 457110 Summary: privacy: Google Maps opens when user click on address Product: kontact Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: contacts Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org Reporter: rob...@riemann.cc Target Milestone: --- This is a feature request. When I add to contacts an address and then browse later to that contact, I find in the contact overview the address and can click on it. This opens the address on Google Maps. I think it is against the spirit of free software and KDE to redirect the user without prior opt-in to Google Maps. Hence, I suggest that we make this configurable as we do already for phone numbers and SMS. Maybe it is an option to use the geo: URI handler instead and configure the behaviour on OS level? Alternatively, we could offer: 1. open in Marble 2. open on OpenStreetMap 3. open using a self-configured URL -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
