Can confirm. This is very likely a bug in the KCM itself as it has not been
ported to use KConfigXT and is super old and crusty in general.
There was an effort to port it which unfortunately got stuck 5% from the finish
line: https://invent.kde.org/plasma/powerdevil/-/merge_requests/71
