I don't think this would make sense in general, sorry. The only time it would
possibly make sense if when you search for an app, and the search returns two
results for the same app, because the two instances of that app come from
different sources, and because the AppStream IDs of each instance do not match,
so Discover can't de-duplicate them. Even in this circumstance, there are only
going to be like 2 or 3 items in the search results list, so implementing
package-version sorting for that use case seems like overkill in the UI and not
worth the development effort required, sorry.
