We can only help to a limited extent, the Ubuntu Snap packages have a sandbox.
This blocks access to external directories for digiKam. The File Export Tool
does not delete source files. If you move via drag&drop or copy/paste, deleting
the source file is fixed in current digiKam versions if it fails. Use our
AppImage and delete the useless snap package.
