Hi there, I'm experiencing this as well, but it's a subtle variation on what
others have reported. For me, this happens regardless of whether or not I have
any external displays, and it occurs on *all* displays. It's similar to the
zombie desktop reported by Agron. I have a video of it taking place here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4dmn-F0p98 I'll also attach the xprop output
shown in that video, in case it's relevant.

I was hoping it'd be fixed in Plasma 5.25, but I just got the upgrade in Neon
(great release, BTW; congrats!) and it's still occurring. Wayland does not work
on this computer, so I can't use Wayland to get around it.

I am interested in testing this, but I am not sure how I would go about doing
so in Neon. Patching system packages has always made me feel uneasy as a
general thing, even having been on Linux for a very long time. :x However, I do
have a BTRFS subvolume structure that makes it very low-risk to go absolutely
ham on the system if I need to. Should I visit a specific Matrix channel for
guidance on this?
