Bug ID: 454998 Summary: Mouse acceleration gets turned on when mouse reconnected or computer restarted Product: systemsettings Version: 5.24.5 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: kcm_mouse Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: cooldood...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I always have mouse acceleration off, however whenever I re/connect a mouse, or restart my machine, acceleration gets turned back on. The setting visually remains set to what I left it as, but acceleration itself is definitely on, and can be turned off by visually toggling it on and back off. This only happens on X11, when using plasma's wayland backend, it works fine. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Connect a mouse 2. Turn off pointer acceleration 3. Unplug the mouse and plug it back in, or restart the machine OBSERVED RESULT Acceleration is on, contradicting what I set it to EXPECTED RESULT Acceleration is set to what I set it to SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux 5.18.1-1-zen KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0 Qt Version: 5.15.4 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
