            Bug ID: 454200
Summary: Remove month name from header in the calendar widget
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.24.90
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Digital Clock
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: andrea.i...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
I find it confusing to have the name of the month in the header, and would
suggest considering to push it down, so that it can be only shown as part of
the content of the "Days" tab (which is the one that's actually showing the
days of the current month).

Benefits:
1. the month info would become more easy for the brain/eyes to acquire while
looking at days of the month in the "Days" tab, as the eyes have to travel less
in order to find it.

2. by becoming part of the "Days" tab, the month name would not be displayed as
header of the widget when switching to one of the remaining tabs, where it
honestly feels redundant ("Months" tab) or out of place ("Years" tab).

I've also found an old redesign suggestion here, as an alternative. This one
proposes to always show the full current date in the header, in this case it
would make sense to keep it displayed across all "tabs":
