Bug ID: 453061 Summary: Selection Text appears white when it should be another color. No settings change it. Product: dolphin Version: 22.04.0 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: imagesfromobje...@gmail.com CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Use a color scheme with a dark Selection Text color 2. Update Dolphin 3. Open Dolphin and select anything on the left Window panel. OBSERVED RESULT In the Window panel, the Selection Text is defaulting to white. At least while it is "active." If you then click elsewhere on the pane, it will switch to the intended color. See screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/qpmjs07 EXPECTED RESULT Selection Text should be the color as defined in .colors file. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kubuntu 22.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.93.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 Kernel Version: 5.15.0-27-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I noticed that this coincided with the appearance of the "full row highlight" so it's possible it's related to this: https://invent.kde.org/system/dolphin/-/merge_requests/278 Things I've tried: Modifying just about everything in the Color Scheme. Building a new blank theme from scratch so I could pinpoint where it is sourcing the white from. The white does not appear to be defined by anything in the theme. I opened the default Breeze theme's "breeze.colors" file and noticed that there is a (new?) section at the end marked "WM" which doesn't appear in any of the 3rd party color schemes I have. I added that field to my "test.colors" file and adjusted everything in it, but am still unable to discern where this white is being sourced from. I love that the highlight now goes all the way across!!! I'm not crazy about the inexplicable white on light pink text, but hopefully this gets sorted out.
