This was done intentionally, since the code is all bug abandoned, most of the
plugins we tested were broken, and Gwenview already has an alternative sharing
system (but with fewer plugins). There is an ongoing discussion about whether
to revert this change, or prioritize migrating the still-working Kipi plugins
to the new system.
If would be very helpful if you could tell me which Kipi plugins you were still
using.
