Only VLC is able to play music/video over an SMB share and it asks for credentials, though share is already opened in Dolphin. But VLC is not a very convenient music player. Elisa is unable to open SMB files from Dolphin. Neither by drag-n-dropping nor by "open with". DEADBEEF, installed from snap store, is unable to play smb files too.
