Bug ID: 452003 Summary: Switching TTYs makes 'evolution' show warning Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Debian testing OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: david.cortes.riv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY If I have evolution (mail client) opened and switch TTY to something without an X session and then back, evolution will then display an error message. Although evolution is not a KDE application, I think this might have to do with KDE software, since (a) X-related things are handled by kwin, (b) a similar issue occurs when logging out of a plasma session and then logging in again (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=433293). STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Launch evolution (mail client). 2. With the evolution window still opened, switch TTYs through e.g. Ctrl + Alt + F2 (or some other F<number>). 3. Switch back to the TTY that has the X session with evolution. OBSERVED RESULT Oftentimes, evolution will show a warning about streaming operation being unable to complete, which stays there until the application is closed and launched again. EXPECTED RESULT Nothing special should happen.
