Bug ID: 451872 Summary: Enable tapping by default [better user experience] Product: systemsettings Version: 5.24.3 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: kcm_touchpad Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: adrlop...@disroot.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 147714 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=147714&action=edit Tapping settings SUMMARY By default, tapping input (equivalent to left-click) is disable in touchpad. This causes a normal/non-tech user to think that their touchpad is not entirely compatible with "Linux" or, maybe, that their touchpad is broken. I suggest enabling the taping function by default for a better user experience. Remember: Simple by default, powerful when needed. :) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Try a live session of KDE NEON or other distro. 2. Tapping on "Install System". OBSERVED RESULT It doesn't open/execute because tapping is disable by default. EXPECTED RESULT "Install System" and other "icons" and "folders" must be opened when tapping, in the same way they do when clicking left-button.
