Bug ID: 451290 Summary: "Stopping" auto-lock/auto turn off screen midway turns makes the system not react to inputs Product: kscreenlocker Version: 5.24.3 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: paninomaninod...@gmail.com CC: bhus...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have a time out for the screen to dim and turn off; 2. Wait until the screen dims and arrive the time to turn off; 3. As the screens turns off move the mouse to stop it middle way. OBSERVED RESULT By the activity led on the notebook you can see that the system is processing "something", it takes a few seconds to react and for the screen turn on again and show the lock screen. The lock screen don't reactive. Mouse and keyboard input don't unlock the screen or shows the interface to unlock with a password. My turnaround as using KDE Connect and send the command to unlock the screen. It worked partly because nothing would react to my mouse and keyboard inputs. My solution was to use KDE Connect to lock the screen, making it lock correctly this time and restart to react to my inputs. EXPECTED RESULT After screen turning on again the lock screen would accept my inputs.
