Bug ID: 450880 Summary: [Wayland] If window preview is enabled, RAM usage quickly increases while I hover over the task manager Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: bugsefor...@gmx.com CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. add Memory Usage widget to desktop 2. have grouped and non-grouuped apps in the task manager 3. minimize all windows 4. repeatedly hover over each entry in the task manager and observe the RAM usage reported by the widget placed on desktop OBSERVED RESULT RAM usage reported by the widget quickly increases despite System Activity (ctrl+esc) does not show any app/proccess consuming more RAM during the steps above. On my system, Plasma even crashes at some point while I hover over the task manager, and then the RAM usage immediately returns to normal.
