Due to the diversoty of audio hardware out there, we unfortunately have no way
of knowing whether going above 100% causes the sound to actually be really loud
to the point of potential hearing damage, or whether the user has enabled this
feature and gone over 100% to compensate for having a laptop with crappy
speakers that are very quiet. With certain audio hardware, even 100% could
cause hearing damage--potentially even at a lower level if the user is wearing
earbuds with a very high maximum volume level. But we can't know any of those
things in Plasma, unfortunately.

The feature to enable going over 100% volume is off by default, and when you do
so, the percentage text showing the current volume level turns first orange,
and then red at over 125%. There are only so many ways we can protect the user
from themselves before it becomes infantilizing. I don't think we can do this,
sorry.
