            Bug ID: 450172
Summary: RGB range setting resets to "automatic" when the
                    monitor is plugged in
           Product: KScreen
           Version: 5.24.0
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: kded
          Assignee: kscreen-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: grouchomarx...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

It is very similar to Bug 442520 (not sure if it is a duplicate).

SUMMARY
I am using a laptop with an external monitor. Its RGB range should be "full"
but is incorrectly detected by the automatic algorithm of the Intel driver.
I can set the correct RGB range in the Display settings (Wayland).
But every time I plug back the monitor, the RGB range resets to "automatic".

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. plug an external hdmi monitor
2. set its RGB range to "full" in the Display settings
3. unplug the monitor
4. plug in the monitor

OBSERVED RESULT
The RGB range "full" is not applied (low contrast image in my case), and the
option is set to "automatic" if I open the Display settings.

EXPECTED RESULT
The RGB range "full" should be applied.
