Go to Setup/plugins and disable all unwanted tools. This will speed-up start
stages.
To assign Showfoto with you preferred image format, change Windows
mimetypes-applications table.
Anyway, if Showfoto is not the desired image viewer for you, there are plenty
of programs under Windows to do this task. In all cases, as Maik said, this is
not the role to digiKam...
