That might > have something relevant???? debug packages/rpm are different, they contain all the symbols from the original source files, which is very useful when you get a core dump and want to load it from gdb to get the context at the time of the crash. For this session issue, I was thinking about some runtime env variables that could be set before kde starts to get more verbose logs for example, but it's not sure at all that ksmserver (or whatever part parses the session config) has such log capability.
