Hi,
We added the output view as a central place to show errors/warnings etc from
plugins. As such, it was made persistent without a way to disable it.
Adding an option to disable it would be trivial but let's what the team says.
Besides that, not sure where you got the flatpak version of Kate as we don't
support flatpak anymore because of numerous issues with flatpak. I would
suggest using the AppImage/snap, that may work better (or not).
