Could you test this with against master (either using Neon Dev Unstable, or
openSUSE tumbleweed with latest git master builds)?
We have fixed a number of issues that could lead to this behaviour.
If problems persist, please attach a freshly created
~/.local/share/kscreen/kscreen.log to this bugreport.
