Bug ID: 448161 Summary: Response field and buttons in decimal activities doesn’t use localised decimal mark Product: gcompris Version: git master Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: jaz...@gmail.com Reporter: k...@huftis.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 145264 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=145264&action=edit Screenshot showing UI with a mix of decimal marks SUMMARY In the decimal addition and subtraction activities, the ‘Enter the result:’ box doesn’t use the current language‘s decimal mark. And the decimal mark button does the same thing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start GCompris with a language/locale setting which doesn’t use ‘.’ as the decimal mark. 2. Start the addition or subtraction decimal activity. 3. Choose the correct number of boxes and click OK. 4. Use either the keyboard or the buttons to enter the correct answer (using either . or , to type the decimal mark works). OBSERVED RESULT See attached screenshot. The ‘Enter the result:’ field uses . as the decimal mark (e.g., ‘0.5’), and the decimal mark button shows a ‘.’. (However, the actual question uses the correct decimal mark, e.g., ‘0,4 + 0,1‘.) EXPECTED RESULT The ‘Enter the result:’ field should use the decimal mark of the current language/locale (e.g., ‘0,5’). The decimal mark button should use the decimal mark of the current language/locale (e.g., ‘0,5’).
