Bug ID: 447927 Summary: Ability to set custom screen IDs/primary screen under wayland Product: KScreen Version: 5.23.4 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: kscreen-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: manjar...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Fullscreen Applications (At least for Valve Source-Engine based games) seem to always open on the screen with the lowest ID on wayland, since it has no "primary screen". In this case screen 0 is a smaller screen than the one that I mainly use, which sadly is screen 1. The problem is that you can't change the screen IDs. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Have two screens OBSERVED RESULT Even after disabling the left screen and enabling it again to have the IDs switched around, they reset after a reboot to numbers incrementing in the reading direction. EXPECTED RESULT They shouldn't do that. POSSIBLE SOLUTION Reintroduce the "Primary Screen" Feature or allow the user to change the IDs of screens SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Garuda Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.89.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.15.12-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor Memory: 31,4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon RX 560 Series -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
