There are many use cases. From simple monitoring to debugging developing apps. I'm experimenting with bash, now trying some multi-thread -multi-process programming, its very useful to see how many processes your shell have spawned. Oh and one more thing. The details about running process is gone. KSysGuard had it. When you hover the mouse over particular process it shows you executable path. In this app everything is so stripped down, that its even a question if it's name represents what this app does.
