SUMMARY

Item highlighting when hovering over differents menu items works poorly, easy
to see for example when moving mouse in diagonal direction across different
menu items. See attachment for example.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open application launcher (default one that gets opened if you press button
in bottom left corner of the screen in default KDE Neon plasma layout)
2. Move mouse over main categories (tools, multimedia, system etc.) in various
different patterns and see that highlighting of item currently under mouse
cursor is not very responsive
OBSERVED RESULT
Menu item currently under mouse cursor is not highlighted in some cases, even
after waiting infinitely.
EXPECTED RESULT
Menu item to be always highlighted instantly when going within its bounds.

Operating System: KDE neon 5.23
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.89.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
2nd video in attachments shows similar menu in windows 7 and its more robust
behavior.
Bug found in vmware virtual machine under windows host, my mouse has high
polling rate.
