Bug ID: 447033 Summary: Update versions numbers give the impression one is about to downgrade Product: Discover Version: 5.23.4 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: lei...@leinir.dk Reporter: natetr...@gmail.com CC: aleix...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 144578 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=144578&action=edit Screenshot of backwards version numbers for updates SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Discover 2. Click on Updates 3. Notice version numbers are backwards - See image attachment for more context OBSERVED RESULT This is a UI "bug". The arrows between versions are giving off the impression that one is about to downgrade, not upgrade. EXPECTED RESULT The latest (new) version should be on the right and the current should be on the left, instead. So, updating from current version number → to new version number, as we read from left to right (unless rtl language.) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Manjaro Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.88.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.15.6-2-MANJARO (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please see attachment -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
