            Bug ID: 446807
Summary: Plasma won't "restore" to its previous state after
                    the display goes to sleep
           Product: kwin
           Version: git master
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: wayland-generic
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: techxga...@outlook.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Once the video I got playing stops playing, that's when the display starts
going to sleep. However, it won't restore, or if it does, it takes a while.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Wait for the display to sleep
2. Try to wake it up by moving the cursor
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
This happens whenever I'm watching a video on Firefox. I would normally notice
this after I wake up (from literal sleep).
I can see the cursor moving, but the rest of the display stays black. I can
still open new applications (like Konsole by keyboard shortcut).

When I try to forcefully restore everything by running `kwin --replace`, no
applications are restored, like as if it's newly logged in.

EXPECTED RESULT
Everything that was open should show up prior to the display going to sleep.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE neon Unstable Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.80
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.89.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.11.0-41-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz
Memory: 15.5 GiB of RAM
Graphics Processor: Mesa DRI Intel® HD Graphics 4400

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I will try to simulate this with a much shorter duration (like leaving it alone
for an hour). Also, the laptop didn't go to sleep.
