I forgot to mention: There's nothing obvious in the logs for kernel, X,
krunner, kwin, xsession, etc. But one of the symptoms becomes visible once
gsync is enabled: You start seeing entries like
(EE) event3 - DELL Dell USB Entry Keyboard: client bug: event processing
lagging behind by 31ms, your system is too slow
for mouse and keyboard despite <5% cpu utilization per core.
